Meyer the next Spurrier

I know we shouldn't count our eggs before they hatch, or whatever that saying is, but if Meyer wins the Championship... do you think there's a possibility that in a few years and a few SEC Championships later that he can surpass Spurrier as the most beloved and God of UF?

He certainly has potential. The thing he can't do that Spurrier did was transform the program. The Gators were nothing before Steve. Meyer inherited a top 5 program. All he has to do is keep it going.

If Meyer wins 2 National Championships during his stint with UF, then there should definetly be a debate.

We'll know in a couple of hours, but like mr2bits said... Meyer will need to produce several SEC championships and maybe even 2 bcs championships to be considered greater than spurrier

Still like Spurrier better because 1. Meyer left for "health reasons" took a year off and then suddenly he was better to coach the suckeyes. 2. The 2010 season, I know people give Spurrier for quitting before the end of season last year but Meyer heart wasn't in that 2010 season and it was a disaster and set the Gators back about five years (granted 2012 season was a Sugar Bowl berth) and yes I know Meyer won more national championship than the old ball coach and that OBC did coach a rival.
