First down at the 17 on pass into tight coverage. Again: Del Rio makes ALL the throws.

TD pass to Powell! He was The Man on that drive. Take big one away? Go back to him again and again now. Good plan, obviously. Lol

Well--if not for a bong!--off the upright I had THIS one called pretty well...Happy to be "off" there--and HOPE to be right bout the 2nd half.
Damn--don't blow this nice half in the last 8 seconds! OK One last play from our 41...
Penalty on us after play (celebrating great play sacking KY QB--HATE that penalty in first place--but our guys GOTTA be aware of it by now...wanna be safe, stay cool, go off feild, celebrate intense/low key w yr teammates)...
LOL Coach Mac angry at our guy for penalty, just caught HIMSELF: To interviewrr as he came off field right after play and gun, blurts out, "Well that was a HORSE--" (cut himself off and walked away)...radio guys were clearly cracking up at and away from mike, trying to swallow it but it was coming out their noses, what he was STARTING to scream, "HORSESHIT move there by..." but somehow JUST caught and cut off, came up with "... we gotta be smarter than that...I'm going to go have a talk with him now..."
Yeah, hurts us a bit to start the half, Coach, a "TEACHING moment" for sure--but all in all, you and your guys got em pointed in the right direction...

Well, say what you will, we are showing CLEAR improvement from game 1 to game 2 like you're sposed to--scoring as many points in a half as we did the whole game--against a good-and-getting better SEC team in UK (has been a bad start 1st coupla games turns out, but they'll win their share ahead, I think--that collapse in the 2nd half against S Illinois is still eating at em).
As for this one--the Wildcats'll be thinkin' redemption "if we can UNdo this deficit, do to them what was done to us"--but I just don't believe a Mac-coached team comes even CLOSECto taking their foot off a down-opponent's neck. I stand by my original forecast: we will pull away, rest of the way. Won't have to run it up, so that'll only happen if 2nd and 3rd depth kids just have their own fun. Mac and co. WILL make sure those guys get reps for sake of future experience and depth--and they'll try n make most of opportunities.
Not worried bout overall outcome now--but interested to see how things do go from here.

Well, here goes the 2nd half. No one shows here soon, I will shut down MY efforts here. Maybe I should check over on the "hey. We're over HERE!" thread...
But I know thats silly--you're all smarter than that.
Gator INT on 3rd and long on 1st Wildcat possession. We start on UK side of midfield. Running downhill now.
We score on this possession, like I say, well, guess I can shut this down, stop watching livestream...
Touchdown on long pass to Swain!
Starting to look easy...but lets remember how HARD it seemed to a succession of "promising young prospects", everyone since TT, basically.
OK, brother Gators. We GOT this one (we are at 38-0 and counting...
gonna reduce my involvement to just the Gator radio feed, via earbuds at the side of Barton Spgs (I can smell the ribeyes on the grill from down here...yeah, could be worse on a Sat aft in Tejas.)
One last (unrelated) thought: Is Escambia gonna drop by sooner or later? Hope you're ok, Gator...Don't wanna be nosy/pushy, know you had a lot of stuff on yr plate at last report. Anyway, things haven't really started heating up yet--and won't really, next week, against a North Texas program from a school and town with a cool scene and a LOT of good musicians (kinda like how Auston USED to be, in some ways, before it got an "image" to bandy about...but not much of a threat at our level, in football terms).
No, it won't be for a coupla weeks, against Tennessee that things get "meaningful, real".
Ach. Eddie misses the 44-yarder badly. 1 outta 3 today--not one of his banner days, but the one he hit was a 54-yarder RIGHT down the center, remember. Thats more points "left on the field"--but nowhere NEAR like last year. And the year before that. And so on.
I'll be here next week--but I expect you all here too the week after. Fair?
Until then, well, "We are the boys..."...

Lol I would have been on but had to go pick up the babies. I watched it via dvr a bit ago. We looked good. As you know I'm born and raised and still live in the bluegrass state, so smack talking will begin tomorrow morning at church :)
BTW love seeing the vols getting beat.

Good week for YOU too, bro.
As for the Vols, well, they "came back" of course--quotes there 'cause VaTek HANDED it to'em, starting with that fumble at their own 5 that turned the momentum entirely, and followed by 4 more turnovers-- FIVE altogether to give that one away.
Look, Tennessee is BEATABLE, GATOR-beatable for sure--IF we limit penalties AND turnovers. Until then we benefit by being overlooked, ignored while we take care of business, keep doing what we been doing. Hell, we're finally back to a level where we're good enough to win games like these first 3 while we focus more on "working out the kinks" getting ready for what's beyond them. But yes, we ARE starting to show some good things...
That game week AFTER next is the first real "test", tho'--and potentially our "coming out party", a return to the national college football consciousness. THAT'S why we need to establish a habit of "doing things the right way" in these weeks leading up to it, against (supposed) "lesser opponents". Take care of business, sure--but even more than that, NOT fall back into the mistake of arrogance and off-handed disrespect--to the opponents OR ourselves, know what I mean? I really like the hard-working, hit-'em-hard-then-help-'em-up, then go back, line up and do it again all 60 minutes, that our Coach and his staff are developing in this Gator squad.
We'll have a better idea of how far we've come, and where we're headed, by the end of that one the weekend after next.
As for North Texas, while I've little doubt we'll win this one (though they are developing fast in relation to most squads in THEIR league, at the SEC-level I'd say that as a football school North Texas has great MUSIC and ARTS programs...great scene in Denton for all that too, makes it a cool town to go to school in). But this is more a "healthy pay day" FOR their program, and their students don't "live or die" with what happens to their team Fall Saturdays.
As we know all too well, it all changes when you start climbing into the upper reaches of The Mountain, begin to realize you can GET there...and once you've BEEN there, well, nothing else will ever quite do. At least I HOPE not: I hope we NEVER AGAIN settle for anything less than the struggle for and a real shot at the golden ring.
