Reports: Stacy Seared hired as OL coach

The University of Florida has not yet confirmed the hiring of its new offensive line coach, but there are strong indicators that it will be Stacy Searels from the Texas Longhorn. Searels had worked with Muschamp at LSU under Nick Saban in 2003 & 2004, and Muschamp hired Searels to Texas in 2011 before moving to Florida.

If the rumors are confirmed, Searels would be a welcome addition to the Florida Gators.

The latest reports this morning indicate that there will be no official announcement on the hiring of an offensive line coach and the position is still open.

Mike Summers has plenty of SEC experience. The question is whether or not his blocking philosophy works with Roper's philosophy. Summers has worked with Joker Phillips, so I expect good things.
