Dan Werner. I think we are all in agreement that Dan Werner is a liability on the court at any given time. Now I’m not one that concentrates too much on basketball. I try to catch every Gator basketball game I can, but I certainly have less knowledge of the game than some. But every time I have seen Werner check in this season, I get nervous. Who dat say gonna beat dem Saints? Definitely not the Colts. Drew Brees and the Saints beat Manning’s Colts 31-17 last night in Miami. Brees (32/39 288 yds 2tds) was absolutely clutch with his record-tying 32 completions with a passer rating of 114.5, grabbing the game’s MVP award.(The record ties Tom Brady in Super Bowl XXXVIII against the Carolina Panthers)….. As we all know Tim Tebow appeared in two ads featuring him and his mother on Super Bowl Sunday. One during the pre-game show and one during the game’s first quarter. After all of the controversy concerning the ads message of anti-abortion, it was obvious that all of the outcries of unfairness and inappropriateness were wasted.

Gang, it’s a little over 15 minutes to the start of the Super Bowl broadcast after all the, um, pre-game “festivities”; I’m anxious for the game to actually get underway and hearing The Who at halftime. I happen to be an aficionado of classic rock, and the last time I was in Hoggetowne I had a CD of theirs playing on my car stereo. (A little trivia: the drummer, Zak Starkey, is former Beatle great Ringo Starr’s oldest son.)
