SEC Tourney: Quarterfinals, Miss. State

The Florida Gators defeated the Auburn Tigers last night by a score of 78-69, thus advancing to the quarterfinals tonight vs. Mississippi State tonight. The Gators are now 7-0 vs. the SEC West, but will have a tough game against the No. 1 seed Bulldogs – a team Florida beat earlier in the season 69-62. A win tonight will definitely put the Gators in the NCAA Tourny, a loss might still keep them on the bubble.

Gators Close Hoops Season With A Loss

The Florida Gators finished out the 2009-2010 men’s basketball regular season on Sunday afternoon with a 66-74 loss to the No. 3 Kentucky Wildcats. That is definitely not going to sit well in the minds of the NCAA Tourney voters. The Gators will now travel to Nashville on March 11 for the SEC Tournament. They’ll have to win a game or two here to ensure a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Anybody else freezing their toes off in North Florida? Yeah, It really shouldn’t be this cold in March. But anywho, just thought I’d weigh in on how the NFL scouting combine turned out for the former Gators, and the chances of Billy Donavon’s team getting into the big dance…Last week, the Tebow show moved it’s cameras to Indy and the NFL scouting combine. Tebow did fairly well at the combine, despite not throwing because of his throwing motion and mechanics being under reconstruction…

Typing away at the laptop while taking a lunch break…..
Hard to believe the Winter Olympics are already over; aside from the pre-opening ceremonies tragedy involving the luger from Georgia (Nodar Kumaritashvili) being killed on a training run, Vancouver deserves to be highly commended on a job well done. Based on the fact that the United States and Canada brought in the lion’s share of the total medals as well as staged impressive championship hockey games, albeit with Team USA settling for silver medals in both the men’s and women’s finals, …
