Anybody else freezing their toes off in North Florida? Yeah, It really shouldn’t be this cold in March. But anywho, just thought I’d weigh in on how the NFL scouting combine turned out for the former Gators, and the chances of Billy Donavon’s team getting into the big dance…Last week, the Tebow show moved it’s cameras to Indy and the NFL scouting combine. Tebow did fairly well at the combine, despite not throwing because of his throwing motion and mechanics being under reconstruction…

Thinking about a few topics concerning all things Florida Gators…
Dan Werner. I think we are all in agreement that Dan Werner is a liability on the court at any given time. Now I’m not one that concentrates too much on basketball. I try to catch every Gator basketball game I can, but I certainly have less knowledge of the game than some. But every time I have seen Werner check in this season, I get nervous. He is shooting a career-low .336 from the field, and .279 from bonus …

Football America wrapping up, Countdowns Begin.

The Super Bowl has passed, the ads were aired. Football is over, and the withdrawal symptoms are starting to appear…

Who dat say gonna beat dem Saints? Definitely not the Colts. Drew Brees and the Saints beat Manning’s Colts 31-17 last night in Miami. Brees (32/39 288 yds 2tds) was absolutely clutch with his record-tying 32 completions with a passer rating of 114.5, grabbing the game’s MVP award.(The record ties Tom Brady in Super Bowl XXXVIII against the Carolina Panthers)….. As we all know Tim Tebow appeared in two ads featuring him and his mother on Super Bowl Sunday. One during the pre-game show and one during the game’s first quarter. After all of the controversy concerning the ads message of anti-abortion, it was obvious that all of the outcries of unfairness and inappropriateness were wasted.

Well, You can pop the cork folks. 28 Commitments, 11 Early Enrollees, The number 1 player in the country, 4 Five Star recruits, A LOT of Four star recruits(there’s so many I’m not sure) and the nation’s consensus number 1 recruiting class(Rivals.com has USC number 1, for some odd reason, nobody is sure why). I think it’s safe to say that Urban Meyer is truly the KING of recruiting this year.(Edit: Steve Addazio has been named the nation’s top recruiter this year.)
From top to bottom, left to right, this class could …

Tuesday’s Thoughts

Sitting here on this rainy Tuesday in Jacksonville…

Thinking about what’s going to become of Urban Meyer these next few months. Our fearless leader has said that he will be back for spring practice, and that he might take some time off after NSD. I am glad that Urban is feeling so much better so fast, but those things that made him rethink his whole philosophy and almost give up coaching forever are still there. They are just suppressed by an offseason with a lot less pressure than being number 1 in the country for 13 straight weeks and trying to protect an undefeated season.
