Tim Tebow Super Bowl Ad Will Be Aired

Don’t leave your couch during the Super Bowl! Tim Tebow will be coming to a big screen TV near you. CBS officially approved the highly controversial Focus on the Family Super Bowl ad that Tim Tebow and his mother Pam will be featured in. Focus on the Family is a pro-life group and the commercial will tell the story of how Tim’s mother was told by doctors that she needed to have an abortion – Pam said no and now we have Tim Tebow in this world.

Abortion is a very sticky subject in this country so I’m not going to get into on a Gator Sports blog. Both sides feel very strongly towards their position and it’s really not my place to talk about it here. What we can do here is talk about Tim Tebow. Yes, I know he graduated but “once a Gator, always a Gator.”

Tebow is currently in Mobile, Alabama getting ready for Senior Day. He’s going everything in his power to impress the NFL Scouts. Do you think the controversy around this commercial is helping Tim or hurting him with his chances in the NFL Draft. On one hand, some teams may want to stay away from the issues, especially if they are in very liberal cities and have liberal owners. On the other hand, this situation shows NFL owners that Tim Tebow is HIGHLY marketable. People pay attention to Tim and want to know what’s going on – no matter what side you’re on. The NFL is all about money, and there’s no denying that Tim Tebow can bring some NFL teams exposure like they’ve never seen before.

What’s your take on the whole Super Bowl ad controversy?
