Bama Ends Florida’s Perfect Season
Tonight’s SEC Championship Game was very tough to watch for Gator fans. The Alabama Crimson Tide beat up on the Gators like I’ve never seen before. From the first series of the game, Bama was in control and nothing the Gators did could counter their great play on offense and defense. The Gators got the game close going into half time, but ultimately the game got out of hand in the second half. Once Florida had to punt on the opening series of the second half, I think most Gator fans got that sick feeling in their stomach. The final score was 32-13, Alabama.
I don’t even know where to start when writing this game recap. The Gators just played so horrible. There is not one player or one specific play that caused the Gators the loss. The defense was horrible, giving up big plays in both the passing and rushing game. They couldn’t pressure the quarterback and didn’t force any turnovers. They gave up 490 total yards of offense – those numbers make me want to puke.
On offense, things weren’t any better. The gators had some impressive drives and plays, but they couldn’t quite convert them into points. The Gators were shut out completely in the second half and turned the ball over in the 4th quarter on a Tim Tebow interception. Florida was very limited in their rushing attack as well – Rainey, Demps and James accounted for only 4 total rushing plays. 4!!!!
Tim Tebow was OK at best in this game. He hit some receivers, but other times he was throwing behind guys. The interception he threw was completely his fault – I’m not sure if Tim just didn’t see the defender or if he just severely under threw that pass. Of course the WRs didn’t help all that much. Hernandez dropped a ball on the 1 yard line and Demps dropped a wide open pass on the opening series that he might have been able to take the distance.
The play calling for Florida was suspect, but really there’s nothing Urban could have done. The Gators were trailing the entire game and the players were outmatched on both sides of the ball. Nick Saban coached a hell of a game for the Crimson Tide though.
From here the Gators will probably go to the Sugar Bowl to play undefeated Cincinnati. There’s no telling which team will show up. Will the be deflated or will the be pumped up for a BCS Game?

Watching the Gators get embarrassed was my CHRISTMAS PRESENT! God, that was fun to watch. The icing on the cake was watching Teblow cry like a little baby. What a pansy! GO BAMA!

I can’t wait until Tee-bone is drafted by somebody like the Baltimore Ravens or Pittsburgh Steelers. The first time she starts crying like a nine-year-girl the after her team loses, her own teammates are gonna line up just to take turns kicking the living shit out of her. That boo-hoo bullshit just ain’t gonna fly with Ray Lewis, Hines Ward, or any of the other 99.9% of any of the players she’ll be blubbering around. That shit will get your manhood called into question very quickly.
Lets see…she bawled on the field after the Auburn loss…cried her little eyes out after the LSU loss…had a teary hissy fit after the Ole Miss loss, and now, bawling again last night on national TV after the Alabama beatdown. And according to SEC kool-aid drinkers, this is supposed to be the greatest player in the history of College football!?!?!?!? Not until she can man up and grow a pair. Look around, Tee-Bone, you play with men…men who take their beating like men…men who felt it unnecessary to act like upset schoolgirls who had the big, mean football player take away their favorite dollie.
I know the rest of GatorNation hopes you have humiliated them for the last time, but I don’t think they’re gonna be that lucky…I can’t see how you intend to explain getting busted by an undercover vice cop while playing glory-hole in a airport men’s room with two other dudes…It’s only a matter of time.
You are an embassament to you school, to your teammates, and most especially to the religion you claim to represent. God, I hope my son never sees you as a role model…I wouldn’t be able to afford the Kleenex and women’s panties.
This guy above obviously has a lot of mental issues. Whether you don’t like him, you don’t speak about someone like that. This guy definitely has been recouping unemployment from the government for the last two year and never will be half the guy tebow is. While he’s reaping millions, tears or not, you’ll be sitting there swinging your fist at the next player you decide to troll while making just enough to afford those wic stamps and child support you have to take care of.
Be intelligent before you speak.
Stupidity is a wonderful thing. And when people show it in public, they deserve an award. Jim Barnes–you win! To say, “I hope my son never sees you as a role model.” lets everyone know how stupid you are. Hines Ward–great role model–ripping his quarterback on TV and apologizing later. Jim, you have learned from the best….
